About Me

Vocalist/Recording Artist/Producer/Jazz Educator. Ms. Monroe was born and raised in Harlem, New York. She relocated to St. Albans, Queens when she was eight years old. Still living in Queens experiencing the best of jazz New York has to offer. She has had the opportunity to work and recorded with many jazz icons. Just to name a few such as: Bob Cunningham, Bross Townsend, Dave and Ed Jackson, Keith Copeland, Kuni Mikami, Ruben Wilson and Fuku Tainaka. She has fifteen years of big band experience. Her 17 Piece big band is called “Big Band of Swing”. She has produced on her 4 CD's for her “AjSj” label. Yearly performs in Barcelona, Spain, Germany and Akita, Japan.
