I am a freelance writer and jazz enthusiast in Saint Louis, Missouri, USA. I earned a Music Business degree from Belmont University in Nashville, and formerly managed a professional recording studio. My musical credits are primarily engineering and production, but I also dabble on bass and other instruments. Most recently, I am a "comeback cornetist." My technology background makes me especially interested in the equipment of jazz: instruments, mouthpieces, studio facilities, audio gear, and so on. My favorite artists include: Miles, Coltrane, Louie Armstrong, Don Cherry, Gil Evans, Vince Guaraldi, Astor Piazzolla, Daniel Lanois, and Bob Dylan. I respect Wynton Marsalis. I think there is no better time than now to focus on New Orleans and her music.
