Geannine Reid

Retired Public Relations and Image Consultant

About Me

I was born in 1951 in Southern California to a middle America family. Jazz has always been a source of enjoyment in my life. My career began in Public Relations and Image Consultation for Fortune 500 companies. Travel was always a huge part of my career. My husband and I continue to travel for pleasure on a regular basis to festivals and concerts across the U.S. I currently own approximately 7,000 Jazz Releases, ranging from Be-Bop, Contemporary, to Modern Jazz. I do love Standards, but I am thrilled to see the next generation creating new Standards. Writing has always been a love of mine and I am fortunate enough to have spent much of my life being involved not only as a participant but most importantly as a listener. I also feel that owning over 7,000 CD's qualifies me as a true consumer and that is what led me to reviewing CD's

My Favorites

  1. Carmen McRae - Carmen Sings Monk
  2. Mark Whitfield - The Marksman
  3. Bill Evans - The Complete Riverside Recordings
  4. Kurt Elling - Flirting With Twilight
