My Jazz Story

I love jazz because it's deep, meditative, disruptive, passionate and is multifaceted so there is a jazz form for every mood, sentiment and occasion. Some of the most memorable shows I ever attended include Don Cherry and Charlie Haden at Sweet Basil in New York (1988), Ray Barretto at The Village Gate also in 1988 and Sun Ra at The Knitting Factory in Tribeca circa 2007. My advice to new listeners... there is so much to explore so venture beyond the beaten track and keep digging.
