About Me

My name is Jared C. Balogh (pronounced “Bay-log”)and I am from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania U.S.A.. I am a self taught musician and composer (I also do films and videos). I have written music in many different genres: Jazz, Classical, Rock, Metal, Grunge, Noise, Dark Ambient, Ambient, Field Records, Electronic, Sound Poetry, etc.... I can play the drums, percussion, guitar, bass, keyboard and some vocals. I graduated from high school in 1993, I graduated from college in 1997 and I attended the Conservatory Of Recording Arts and Sciences in Phoenix, AZ in 2003. I have 50+ songs were I wrote, played all instruments and recorded (engineered, mixed, produced and mastered). In the fall of 2009, a began teaching my self how to compose music in notation using professional composing programs. Since 2009, I have composed over 250 songs via notation composing. I am a member of ASCAP, American Composers Forum and a artist curator for the Free Music Archives. Over the last several years, I have released many LP's, EP's, collaborations, splits and compilations with my projects Jared C. Balogh, Trans Atlantic Rage and Trans Atlantic Rage/Balogh. I have collaborated with many artist/musicians for around the world. The majority of my releases have been released under the Creative Commons License. I have released my music in download and physical (Cd, DVD, Cassette etc....) on great Net/Record Labels: Enough Records (Portugal), Headphonica (Germany), Altered State Reflections (U.S.A.), Wombnet (England), Surrism-Phonoethics (Germany), Happy Puppy Records (Canada), Rainbow Bridge Recordings (U.S.A.), 45 R.P.M. Records (Russia), WM Recordings (The Netherlands), Classwar Karaoke (England/Germany), Kermesse Records (Argentina), Turbinicarpus Records (Ukraine), Itsu-Jitsu (Ireland), Misspelled Records (Australia) and many more. To date, estimation with my audio projects of about 1.25 Million creative commons downloads over the last few years. I have digital album releases on Altered State Reflections, Surrism-Phonoethics and Enough Records (Soon To Be Released). A lot of the Creative Commons downloads lead to the usage of my music in indie films, short films, music videos, news radio, video games, iPad/Windows applications, documentaries, performing arts (Dance/Plays/Visual Arts, etc....), promotions (book, art galleries, etc....), web commercials, podcast, mixtapes, education (Public Service Announcements) and more. My Jazz Story

I love jazz because...It is infinite I was first exposed to jazz... My mom bought me a Frank Sinatra Album for Christmas of 1992 I met [musician name]... No jazz musicians currently The best show I ever attended was... To many to select one The first jazz record I bought was... Frank Sinatra My advice to new listeners... With jazz you either can feel it right away or if you can't you will develop it. Or whatever else you have in mind.
