About Me

Son of 40's and 50's bass saxist and bandleader Harry Gold. Entered music business in 1960 as arranger in pop field. Formed 1st big band in 1966. Worked as MD/Producer around the London studios in most genres. Recorded / broadcast with Mark Murphy, Buddy Greco and Louis Stewart among others in the jazz field and with own big band. Organised bands for Van Morrison et al. Big band backed Van at Belfast Festival and at his induction into Irish Music Hall of Fame. Semi-retired but still gigging!
