Shueh-li Ong

Songwriter, producer, synthesist & thereminist all wrapped up in one Austral-Asian chick

About Me

Shueh-li (Shelley) is an electronic musician and recording artist, with one foot in the world of musicology and the other on the concert stage. She has written, recorded and produced three CDs under the Xenovibes moniker, one under her name signifying her branching off on her own, with a fifth in the pipeline. In 2012, the CD release concert for the forth album garnered the Nashville SCENE's critics' pick. This Australian born Singapore artist, who lives in the USA, is a multi-instrumentalist, world-class thereminist, producer and show designer. She performed on the 2021 Grammy Award winning album by Fito Páez “La Conquista del Espacio” (which also won the 2020 Latin Grammy). Shueh-li could be considered the first thereminist to have performed at the Dallas Museum of Art (2005), Grapevine Opry (2008), State Fair of Texas (2007), Moogfest (2007), NJProghouse (2013), and the Steinway Piano Gallery Nashville (2012). Shueh-li is also founder & leader of Xenovibes (electronic-progressive band.)

She is happy to be making music wherever she goes!
