Freelance writer with a theater and jazz website
I am currently a freelance writer with clients in non-profit performing arts fundraising, mortgage financial services and real estate sales. On my own time I maintain an evolving theater and jazz website that has my reviews of select Southern California theater productions between 2006 and 2016, interviews with theater and jazz artists largely derived from ten years writing jazz profiles for the Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts in Costa Mesa, California. In Costa Mesa, I was the Public Relations Director of South Coast Repertory, a regional non-profit producing theater from March 1983 through 2004, and prior to that edited several in-flight magazines published in Orange County. After graduating with a BS Journalism from USC, I spent two years on a weekly newspaper in Philadelphia. Currently I am developing an initiative to generate attendance at jazz events in the region. The hope of Jazz Generations is to get a cross-section of ages who are ready to embrace the spectrum of jazz from the classic to the cutting edge, to both enrich an individual event and build future audiences.

I love jazz because it takes me back and carries me forward.
