My Jazz Story
I love jazz because it is difficult to describe, distinctly different and yet touches all other genres in some way or another.
I was first exposed to jazz through photography and photographing the Melbourne International Jazz Fest from 2013 onwards
I met many muscicians from all over the world on this wonderfull experience and passion for jazz photography.
The best show I ever attended was...Goodness me! - all of them are great from the duos to the big Bands. dee dee and Irvin Mayfield stand out.
The first jazz record I bought was...Louis Armstrong's Mack the Knife - not knowing anything about Jazz at that time. Music was Music as long as we could dance to it.
My advice to new listeners...keep listening intently and you will get hooked until it overtakes you, relaxes you, and get totally involved.
Or whatever else you have in mind. Its now a passion via my photography - always trying to capture the emotion that tells a story.
