My Jazz Story

I love jazz because...it runs through my veins I was first exposed to jazz...while pregnant with my first child at a small venue in RI - saw Clay Osbourne, Marshall Wood and Gray Seargant in an imtimate trio setting. It was my destiny to be there that night, meet Clay - who helped me unlock something deep within me. The best show I ever attended was...Cecil Bridgewater at Lenox Lounge, NYC. It was like going back in time. The atmosphere, respect for the musicians and thier music, ghost of Ella and Billie looming... incredible evening. The first jazz record I bought was... Nancy Wilson and Cannonball My advice to new listeners... open your mind.
