Thomas Hubert Motter (*4.August 1963 Heidelberg ) is a german musician , keyboardist , songwriter , producer

Life: classically trained by Erwin Schmieder ( 3. generation Liszt student , Eugen Dalbert , Alfred Höhn ) , Prof. Gisela Sott, Wolfgang Bloßer , Günther Krieger .

1976 with 13 years he won the state competition in Baden - Württemberg of the Deutsche Tonkünstler Verband. Radio performances & recordings fallowed.

formative for his Jazz - influences was the contact to the drummer Allen Blairman in Heidelberg .

1980 was the first performance with an Orchestra in the performance or the Warsaw concerto from Adinsell with the concert band of the Chaska High School in Minnesota, USA . Thomas Motter was a foreign exchange student for one year in the USA and graduated 1980 from Chaska High School.

In 1980 Thomas became member of the band Riff Raff in Heidelberg , Germany . guit:Horst Abel, bass : Hadi Wagner , drums : Pit Kania. collective songwriting , various studio recordings & life performances were done .

Around 1985 he formed the duet `Cosa Nostra `with the singer Barbara Kosariscuc to perform songs from Brecht/Weil , Jazz Standards & Chansons.

Thomas Motter was also regular Bar Pianist in the prestigious Caffee Villa in Heidelberg from 1980 to 1990

During his time at Heidelberg University from 1987 to 1990 he was accompanying and doing correptition for the University Choir for the f minor mass of Anton Bruckner under Uwe Lohmann .

A huge influence for his music was also to play regularly with american musicians who were part of the 40.000,00 troops , which were stationed in the Heidelberg /Mannheim area after WW II and included always many musicians .

Also the music that were played in the many clubs on the american base on the weekends was very influental for Thomas Motter .

1993 Thomas Motter started his own project `Judge T & the Jury `to realize how own musical ideas with guit : Andreay Bayless , bass : Frank Backes , drums : Chick Zigmondy and voc. : Sherlyn Whittiker . Through a friend of Sherlyn Whittikers sister , who at the time was serving in the US army in Heidelberg , Thomas Motter got to know Sherlyn , who then relocated to Heidelberg for good.

1998 Thomas Motter became member of the SDR3 winner band US2U . SDR is a major radio station in the south of Germany .

In 2000 Thomas Motter became part of K.J.Dallaway & friends and performed a steady gig weekly at `Billy blues Heidelberg from 2000 to 2003 . the CD K.J.Dallaway & friends `Live at Billy Blues `followed .
