Sara Niemietz

Chicago-native Sara Niemietz moved to California over a decade ago, in search of creative opportunities. Since then, she has starred on Broadway (Carol Burnett’s Hollywood Arms), appeared in television and film (Akeelah and the Bee, Glee), recorded vocals for many scores and projects, released four albums, sang in Times Square before 50,000 people, the Grand Ole Opry, Radio City Music Hall, the California Governor's Ball and countless venues worldwide.

The last few years have been full of new ventures. Sara’s heartfelt songs and highly interactive approach to social media has garnered over thirty million views and over one hundred fifty thousand followers and subscribers on youtube and across various social-media platforms. In 2011, Ellen DeGeneres saw one of Sara’s videos and invited her to sing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. That year, Richard Marx and Sara began a series of collaborations. She appeared on his A Night out with Friends CD/DVD set (2012), as well as his Christmas Spirit album (2012).

She performed "Hooked On a Feeling" in duet with B.J. Thomas on The Living Room Sessions in 2013, The pair also performed the song at the Grand Ole Opry, repeating a performance that initially "hooked" Sara on the footlights, when B.J. helped a four year old Sara to the stage when he noticed her singing along from the front row.

Niemietz collaborates with Emmy-award winning composer, W.G. Snuffy Walden (The West Wing (NBC)), Walden is her writing partner, accompanist and mentor as her career emerged from a childhood phenom to a cross genre featured vocalist.

Niemietz is a regular cast member of Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox (PMJ), she has toured the United States, the European Union, Australia and New Zealand with the band. She is the featured vocalist on a  handful PMJ music videos and appears on ten of Postmodern Jukebox's top ten albums on the Billboard Jazz Albums chart.

Recording under her own label, Superman (2022) is her most recent album, twentytwenty is a live album produced in 2020, Get Right (2019) and Travel Light (2017). All albums are of primarily original music. EPs include, Fountain and Vine (2015), Christmas Favorites (2012) and Push Play (2012).
