Danusia Samal is a London-born actress, writer and jazz singer. Raised on music by the greats, Danusia’s unique vocals blend her London upbringing with flavours of classic jazz and contemporary soul -You get standards with a modern twist, original modern jazz, swing, R&B and even a bit of the UK urban sound!
Danusia has worked extensively as a jazz singer and performer since 2007, performing regularly at venues across London, including '100 Club', 'Park Chinois', and 'Shanghai Blues'. From 2016-2017, Danusia performed with the band of the world famous Royal Shakespeare Company, and has since written a musical and original songs with musicians from the company. She also recently released an EP 'Let's Do It' with musican/comedian Ed Gaughan, and writes and performs Busking It, a theatre and music show about her experiences as a London Underground busker, currently touring (www.buskingit.co.uk). Danusia collaborates regularly with other soul and jazz artists and is currently working on new original material.
As well as being a grade 8 singer, Danusia is a qualified vocal coach. She has experience performing solo, duo, or as part of a larger band at gigs, private functions and as session singer/featured artist. Danusia specialises in jazz, Latin jazz, and Soul/R&B but can also create a setlist to match any brief.
