Why I Must Be Careful is music for the post-first-world
Drawing as much from punk as from jazz, with the academic weight and tongue-in-cheek of John Cage, Why I Must Be Careful is treading on new ground; this newly formed volcanic ground is teeming with heat and vigor from a dirt-caked Rhodes piano and ecstatic drums & cymbals. Synchronized passages appear from the æther in a frighteningly complex sonic mêlée in their musics. The drums speak in a melodic code as the electronic piano gouges percussively from note to note in bizarrely complementary walls of hyper-structured madness.
