About Me
I started in my elementary school playing a plastic recorder. I was hooked. However, “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” just didn't swing enough for me. I decided to ad lib and embellish the notes written on the pages. Granted, I was no Charlie Parker but I was proud of myself. The music teacher did not share my enthusiasm and excitement about my newfound ability to alter what the composer had penned.
I soon discovered I would never be a major star or receive an invite to be on the Tonight Show with Johnny. I focused my energy and attention towards contributing behind the scenes. That's what I continue to do today.
My Jazz Story
I am a fan of all good music. To me, jazz expresses more emotion,
passion, and feeling than any other genre.
