About Me
Tyler Cobbett is a classically trained vocalist and pianist. Having played electric bass in rock and blues bands for 30 years he decided to learn jazz acoustic bass. He has studied with Josh Thurston-Milgrom and Hannah Marks, and attended the Stanford Jazz Institute. He co-founded Trio de Garth in 2021 as a vehicle to promote and support young soloists. His influences include Ray Brown and Brian Bromberg.
