My Jazz Story
I love jazz because now that we are in the 21st century, jazz has gone through so many variations that the focus is simply on
individual expression (and how that expression fits in with other's musical language), and the platforms for expression
(harmony, rhythm, melody, instrumentation etc) are wide open. It is such an adventurous and open platform for expression, and
so much music can be captured by the word "jazz".
My House Concert Story
My favorite house concerts have been in New Orleans where this is a loose performance of a featured group, and the rest of the night is left open for musicians to play together, socialize and hangout.
