About Me
I was 13 years old when I first heard a Charlie Parker recording. Picking up my alto saxophone in an attempt to
copy the sounds that I was hearing, I was simply blown away by Bird's mastery of the horn and of the music.
That feeling of awe has never left me in all the years since...
Gig reviews, album reviews, artist features, historical articles, music theory etc... I write about anything associated
with jazz. I love the rich history of the genre, and find both joy and sadness in the fact that there is simply too
much to appreciate in a single lifetime. I am also very excited about the way jazz has developed in the past
decade or so, and passionately believe that the genre deserves wider exposure in the public domain.
I graduated from university in 2021 and hold First-Class Degrees from both The University of Exeter and The
London School of Economics in the field of Modern History.
