About Me

I blog about Bay Area arts and culture for Examiner.com. I wrote articles for the San Jose Mercury News, CenterstageChicago.com, alternative rock monthly Zero Magazine and Jungle magazine. I wrote for the Oakland Tribune company for more than three years and penned features for The Herald-Palladium, a daily newspaper in southwest Michigan, before that. In December 2002 I got my Master's degree in magazine publishing, news reporting and photography from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
