About Me

The BandA ecLectics were put together on February 2007 by pianist-composer Petros Sakelliou. The music is all original. The ensemble is comprised of musicians with diverse backgrounds in jazz, classical and world music. In the sound of the group as well as in the compositions written for it, one can trace a fusion of elements from jazz, classical and world music involving orchestrated material as well as improvisational. The music is all composed by Petros Sakelliou (pianist of the group). We recorded a 7 track album in May 2007 at Mix One studios, Boston, and we are currently seeking touring and festival opportunities, as well as performance options in venues that can accommodate the size of the group.
