About Me

Susan Faucon is a multi genre songwriter, vocalist and playwright.

Susan Faucon, a self taught Washingtonian musician, is a multi-genre songwriter, playwright, band leader, vocalist and actor who has had a lengthy career as a performer and writer. She studied theatre at Towson State University, received her degree in Human Development from University of MD, and has never had any formal music training, she has a good ear though. She's had the privilege of performing on some beautiful stages including Silver Spring Stage, York Theatre, Dream Wrights Theatre, Chesapeake Arts Center, UMD Main Stage, Twins Jazz and the well-known jazz club, Blues Alley. She's also had the pleasure of working with some incredible musicians such as Bruce Swaim, Steve Sachse, Ro Cube, Wardell Howell and Dennis Michaels. Her latest project for which she wrote the music, lyrics and script is entitled Killer Stilts and has some of the best talent in the Washington area. Pam Parker, Susan Faucon & Amafujo are the Dames of Killer Stilts. These spectacular Divas sing, squabble and laugh out loud about beauty, money, sex, God and politics...lots of thought provoking, irreverent and musical conversation. With Ro Cube on Keys, Wardell Howell on Bass and Kenneth McDonald on Drums, these 6 accomplished musicians perform a diverse collection of original jazz, funk and blues blended with provocative dialogue, a large dollop of humor and the meaning of life as seen through the eyes of three crazy Dames. Her work represents Susan's fascination with and eagerness to explore the jagged nooks and flavored crannies of the human experience. Her latest project, Killer Stilts, blends rich contemporary jazz, funk and blues with unexpected melodies and rhythms, thought provoking lyrics and dialogue, spectacular theatrical exploration and complex character development. The media has responded in kind: “Susan draws her music from a deep and honest well. She has discovered a truth and shares it generously. You will be moved
