My Jazz Story
I love jazz because . . . the music heals me and lifts me up! I met and worked with Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Al Di
Meola, Stanley Clarke, Lisa Fischer, Eartha Kitt, Tony Bennett and thousands of others at The Newport Jazz Festival, The Boston Globe Jazz Festival,
The Tanglewood Jazz Festival, Scullers Jazz Club and through many concerts with Fred Taylor . . . and of course, George Wein. But, the best show I
ever attended was...Miles at KIX in 1981 when Miles made his big comeback with Marcus Miller, Bill Evans, Al Foster, Mino Cinélu and Mike Stern.
That was my first show with Fred Taylor and we continued to work closely together for almost 40 years.
