Denver-based Steven Roby is a music journalist, best selling author and host of the Backstage Jazz radio program.

About Me

From the San Francisco Bay Area to the Big Island of Hawaii, Steven Roby has worked as a music journalist, entertainment photographer, magazine editor, radio host, and video documentarian. Since 1989, he has specialized in performing arts with an intense focus on the world of rock and jazz music. His diverse list of clients spans a wide range of industries. Roby is also a published author of three books, one on the L.A. Times Non-Fiction Hardcover Best Seller List, and featured in The New York Times, Rolling Stone (x2), and Billboard. He’s now based in Denver.

Roby now hosts the Backstage Jazz show on the TAVN Radio Network. It can be heard three times per week: Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m., Thursdays at 6 p.m., and Saturdays at 11:30 a.m.

My House Concert Story

I now host the Backstage Jazz show on the TAVN Radio Network. It can be heard thrice weekly: Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m., Thursdays at 6 p.m., and Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. On the show, I interview local and touring jazz musicians.
