Upright & Electric Bass
Steve Boisen has been performing throughout the Tampa Bay area for many years, playing both acoustic and electric bass with a wide variety of musical ensembles from jazz combos and big bands to symphony orchestras and popular music groups. A native of Long Island, New York, Steve studied at Boston’s Berklee College of Music under scholarship before relocating to Florida. In addition to live performances, he is a frequent participant in recording sessions and his bass work can be heard on a variety of local, national and international releases. Steve Boisen has appeared at festivals and venues throughout the country and has performed and/or recorded with noted jazz artists such as Harry Allen, Ray Kennedy, Nate Najar, Chuck Redd, Dave Stryker, Bria Skonberg, Larry Camp, Buster Cooper, and Duduka da Fonseca.
