About Me

Many years ago I was planning on being a full time musician, but mid-college, I took a different path and went into advertising photography and film production. It seemed a better fit at the time. Retired after 35 years in the “ad biz”, I'm very excited about playing jazz again... it's been a real honor to have been able to gig and jam with some of the SF Bay Areas best players. Since December 2013, I've been booking the house musicians and hosting the Hedley Club Jazz Jam at the Hotel De Anza in San Jose CA. It's been a great learning experience, meeting many new friends and gradually working the chops closer to where I'd like 'em to be. It's also a treat getting together with musical friends at my studio for recording sessions, some laughs, unprintable comments and more than a few glasses of fermented grape juice.
