Jazz Pianist, Composer and Teacher
Born in Sofia, (Bulgaria) 1976, started plying piano at the age of 6. Four years later hears for first time Rebeck (gadylka-Bulgarian folk instrument) and decide to learn Bulgarian folk tradition. Started to study in Secondary school of music ¨Fillip Kutev¨ in 1990 and finish in 1995. During that time listen to performers as Petar Ralchev, Ivo Papasov, Theodosii Spassov and many others that influenced his musical live, also started to play the accordion. In 1997 moves to Athens-Greece and spend there 6 years of playing different music, from Greek to blues. In 2000 starts studying jazz piano and accordion in ¨Philippos Nakas¨ music school. Three Years later in 2003 moves to Holland and joined the Rotterdam conservatory, now ¨Codarts¨ where receives his bachelor and master degree. In Rotterdam created a bands named “Antilogos” and “Balkan colours” with witch played music based on Balkan tradition and jazz. In 2009 shortly before to move to Madrid (Spain) Stanislav joined for some tours Amsterdam Klezmer Band as accordion player. Currently resides in Spain.
