About Me
My Jazz Story
I spent much of my childhood growing up in the creative melting pot of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Encouraged by my musical parents, I was composing and performing from age six.
I was heavily influenced by my exposure to African music and after discovering I am a counter-tenor, I spent my time honing them along with my poetry and storytelling.
I returned to London in my twenties and began collaborating with renowned musicians and producers including Grammy award-winning, Sonny Johns and David Mrakpor. I also
performed at London’s annual Jazz Festival and headlined at Vienna’s prestigious ORF RadioKultureHaus.
Today, I pull inspiration from my history and experiences - evoking passion, optimism and determination - a mix of sounds, rhythms and unique sequencing – all drawn from my
jazz and soul musical influences and Nigerian heritage.
