My Jazz Story
I love jazz because it is unlike anything else I can think of.
I was first exposed to jazz by my Dad who lived in Europe for some time and hung out at
little dives where amazing American jazz musicians played. He played their albums for me
and I fell in love. Over time, as a publicist, I have had the opportunity to represent master musicians like Greg Osby, Aby Lincoln,
Ramsey Lewis, just to name a few in a long list.
The best show I ever attended was...Watching another artist I had the pleasure of working with
Ramsey Lewis in concert.
The first jazz record I bought was Miles Davis Sketches of Spain
My advice to new listeners... don't mistake jazz and smooth—not the same thing.
