I love jazz because... I think it is real. On top of knowing how music and your instrument work one absolutely must bring one's soul into the mix. I was first exposed to jazz... my dad played piano and had Bennie Goodman records. I met [musician name]... Jethro Burns and he turned me on to Django Reinhardt The best show I ever attended was... Bireli Lagrene at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago - plus the annual Django Reinhardt Festival in Samios sur Seine - plus the Midwest Gypsy Swing Fest in Madison WI US The first jazz record I bought was...
