About Me
Catalan bassist based in Amsterdam
Born in a small town north of Barcelona, I became very interested in music at a young age. After experiencing a live concert for the first time, I decided to become a musician. I started learning music by myself, but as my musical knowledge expanded and my fascination with music deepened, my quest for musical exploration led me to diverse cities such as Barcelona, Amsterdam, and New York. I studied my bachelor's and master's degrees at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. Besides that, I had the opportunity to study in New York City for a brief period and I had the privilege of taking lessons with jazz legends such as Buster Williams, Reggie Workman, and David Wong. I've been particularly drawn to the Jazz tradition and the music of the Great American Songbook. I’ve been fortunate to enjoy a very prolific performing career thus far, having had the privilege to share the stage with esteemed musicians such as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Harry Allen, Steve Cardenas, Philip Harper, Dwayne Clemons, Benny Benack III, Peter Beets, Benjamin Herman, Simon Rigter, Gideon Tazelaar, and Ignasi Terraza. Additionally, I’ve been one of the founders of the Fried Seven, a 1920s jazz music band. I am a member of the faculty at the Grappelli-Django Summer Camp, and my debut album was released on May 26'.
