I love jazz because... It achieves high lyrical sophistication by means of improvisation of soprano (figured soprano, as some says it) while not missing emotional appeal. I was first exposed to jazz... in 2022, when I asked my Professor about his favourite music in college. My advice to new listeners... Don't follow the legends. Enjoy the latest records on Bandcamp or elsewhere. After all, you will find the artist/style/song you want, and it won't be Giant Steps; it's 60 years old, sounds boring, and everyone might as well have written new songs that have improved on its idea already.
