Freelance deejay and master of ceremony, author and researcher, performs as ...sloe walker
I'm a Vietnam era veteran (USAF), native Detroiter, living permanently in Denver, Colorado since 1983. I'm also a freelance photojournalist and political junkie, having been formally trained to manage political campaigns by one of the major U.S. political parties. To that end, I've successfully managed local campaigns as well as provided PR and advertising support. However, my first love is jazz and in that regard I'm a jazz proselytizer in addition to being a working, freelance jazz dj. I perform as ...sloe walker in and around the Denver metro area including local clubs. Last, I'm working on a trilogy of jazz pamphlets, the first, titled “ Hard Boppin!” The Monumental Era Of The Art, 1955 - 1967. This work is now finished and is to be followed by “Smooth” The Popularizing Of The Music, 1970 to Present, and finally, “A Pride Of Young Lions” 1980 to Present.
