My Jazz Story

I love jazz because it is the music that most demands the greatest blend of artistry, imagination and technique. I was first exposed to jazz taking piano lessons as a child. I met [musician name]. Too many to cite, but have met numerous ones since the late '70s. The best show I ever attended was.. Sun Ra at the University of Massachusetts in 1974. The first jazz record I bought was...Niles Davis - In A Silent Way My advice to new listeners - Don't approach the music with any pre-conceived biases nor let someone else define for you what jazz is.

My House Concert Story

I attend them regularly here in Nashville, and listen to jazz radio shows as well.
