My Jazz Story
I love jazz because... my Father was a Piano Player-Singer and Friend of Buddy Rich, whom I met as a Boy via Dad.
I was first exposed to jazz... at 22 months when Dad started teaching me Piano.
I met [musician name]... too many to list, but Duke Ellington, Dexter Gordon, Jon Faddis, Arturo Sandoval, John Lennon, Diana Ross, Deborah Harry, Pat Benatar, The B-52's y mas!
The best show I ever attended was... Blood, Sweat & Tears. The Beatles
The first jazz record I bought was... Readers Digest Collection Set of The Big Band Era
My advice to new listeners... Keep an Open Mind and sometimes Closing your Eyes is the BEST way to LISTEN!
