My House Concert Story
Attending monthly jazz ensembles here in a large art gallery space, The Emporium, hosted by Knoxville Jazz Orchestra director Vance Thompson; last evening a five-member ensemble, four 4th year students in the superb UT music program--shockingly accomplished members. Pending is the Big Ears Music Festival, Knoxville, TN in March...4 days with visitors from 20+ countries exploring the boundaries of jazz, avant guarde, and more. Greatest such event in the nation (NYT).
