Currently band director/musician(bassist) of “The Freedom” a smooth jazz/fusion band based in St.Louis,Mo.the band covers Marcus Miller and Boney James,etc...type jazz. also,composer and producer of “Wright's Project”,a solo music project that highlights my original music.
My Jazz Story
I love jazz because...of the different elements and styles of music that can be incorporated into jazz, I always infuse my musical ideas and compositions from jazz.
I was first exposed to jazz...when I was a teenager back in the early 1970's

The first jazz record I bought was...let's see...? maybe Herbie Hancock or Ramsey Lewis,Stanley Clarke
My advice to new listeners...just listen with an open mind...
