Ray Vanderby

I love jazz because it allows me to create original works with freedom. I was first exposed to jazz listening to Jimmy Smith, Andre Previn, Mike Nock, Keith Emerson and others in my teen years. I latched onto the minor blues scale and I'm still exploring it many years later. I'm a musician and piano tuner, I never did take to reading much so I play by ear. My 2010 album release Amoresque is a 10 track album of my original works recorded with the Ray Vanderby Quartet.
