About Me

R & J Arts is a business collaboration between Rachel Kolb and Jake Dijak. With extensive music backgrounds, Rachel, a performing classical/jazz/Christian singer, and Jake, a performing pop/R&B/jazz singer/pianist/guitarist, assist musicians at all levels with singing, instrumentals, songwriting, recording/mixing, publicity, promotion, and more.

A master of the English language, Rachel tutors students from Kindergarten to college, and she is an editor/proofreader for writers, businesses, and schools. Rachel also offers photography services as well as lessons in the basics of exposure/composition and digital image enhancement/editing.

As an audio engineer, Jake will provide your audience with impeccable, professional sound for any occasion or venue, as well as professional studio recordings.

More About Us

Rachel and Jake met at the First United Methodist Church at 341 S. Kalmia St, Escondido, CA, where Rachel is the Soprano Soloist/Section Leader and Jake is the Audio Engineer. The two fell in love, are now engaged, and have started their own business, helping artists to achieve their goals in all areas and offering their services as artists.

Jake Dijak is a musician, singer, songwriter and audio engineer with over 11 years of experience in the industry. He wrote and recorded 3 albums and toured 36 states with his group One Hot Minute, singing lead and playing piano/guitar. Jake has taken a multitude of music courses at Mira Costa College, Palomar College, and the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, where he is currently taking online courses to achieve his Bachelor’s Degree in Songwriting.

Rachel Kolb is a singer, musician, publicist, photographer, writer, editor, proofreader, and tutor. She has 25 years of writing experience and is currently publicist, editor and proofreader for Palomar Performing Arts, where she began working in 2007. Rachel has also been singing, playing piano and performing for 19 years and is currently working to achieve her Bachelor’s Degree in Visual and Performing Arts – Music at CSUSM.
