Vents d’Est is an european artistic collective based in Rheims, Champagne-Ardenne, founded in 1998 by pianist Francis Le Bras & trumpetist Serge Adam. Now, it includes Francis Le Bras, german saxophonist Daniel Erdmann, poet André Ze Jam Afane and photographer / videogra- pher Alain Julien. Vents d’Est works on the management and booking of their projects. Vents d’Est also works as a management & booking agency for associated musicians who are pianist Benoît Delbecq, drummer Edward Perraud, guitarist Hasse Poulsen, Fantastic Merlins from Minneapolis, and develops cross-border partnerships especially with Charles Gil / Vapaat äänet (Helsinki, Finland), Tobias Schuster / Shoestring Jazz Booking (Berlin, Germany) & french-american label Nato. In 2008, Vents d’Est developed a label activity, producing and publishing a few recordings. Our CDs are distributed by Anticraft in France, Nova in United Kingdom and NRW in Ger- many and are also available on www.ventsdest.com. We are part of the french federation of independent labels Les Allumés du Jazz.
