A prolific guitarist whose distinctively funky, blues-steeped jazz style has graced over a thousand recordings across the popular music spectrum, the legendary Phil Upchurch has recorded 27 albums of his own leadership, as well as movie soundtracks. His own 1961 recording of “You Can’t Sit Down” went gold, selling over a million copies.

Phil Upchurch has been a prominent figure in the blues, soul, R&B and jazz circles for more than 50 years.
