An anthropologist fascinated by cultural phenomena.
I'm an Anthropology and Global Cultural Studies professor at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. My research focuses on Hollywood films, virtual reality, and cultures of Mexico and Ecuador. As a kid, I wanted to play drums like Buddy Rich. In addition to jazz, I'm a fan of cumbia, vallenato, zydeco, and rock.
