Peter Rappolt is a recording and television artist from the 60’s with his band “The Echomen”. The Echomen were one of the pioneers of surf music in Australia, producing some of the first “surf” records on Australia’s hit parade.

Peter and Marie (Viva the duo) commenced their musical association in 1969 when they performed together for over 400 cabaret concerts to American and Australian troops in South Vietnam, they also performed their concerts throughout Thailand, The Philippines, Guam and Japan. Peter and Marie have continued working at International Venues with their Viva the band (quartet), they represented Australia at music festivals in Taiwan in 2004 and 2005

Viva the duo and Viva the band regularly perform at community, corporate and Council events and are well known locally for their performances every year for the last 8 years at Manly festivals. They also perform at music events throughout New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria

Their music can be described as “diverse eclectic European music (with a leaning toward French, Spanish, Russian and South American Latin music) mixed with a blend of Jazz, swing and iconic show tunes from early last century”
