Pete Weber

Pete Weber - Host of 12th Street Jump

About Me

Pete Weber is a professional actor who got his start in KC doing improv with ComedySportz and later ComedyCity. During that time he performed and trained with Pearl MacDonald of 12th Street Jump, Jason Sudeikis of Saturday Night Live, and Second City. With a good base of Improv, he decided to take the learning curve back to school to develop as an actor. After graduation from Avila University, he signed with Exposure Talent Agency in 2007 and has been on camera for local & national ads and films. Pete teaches with the Kansas City Repertory Theatre in their Rep on the Road program and his true love is still live performance. Show reviews have said, “Using magnificent comic timing and a deep sincerity, he mesmerized the audience with his performance” (Present Magazine), “his moving work, grounds the show” (The Pitch),”the glue in the production is provided by Weber...he makes it come to life” (Kansas City Star). It was after a performance of Murder By The Book at the American Heartland Theatre, when Mark Edelman approached Pete about doing a radio show. Now, 5 years into it, Pete is all those things and more simply a grateful host of a nationally syndicated radio show. 12th Street Jump promotes jazz and blues with a comedic twist. Through the network of stations that carry the show, the importance of the art form and love for public radio is alive and jumping.
