Paul L. Marcucci

A Drummer that listens from the Head and plays to the Heart.

About Me

I'm a freelance percussionist and member of The Jupiter Jazz Society.

When appropriate, I like to infuse the collective sound with world rhythms and a touch of the avant-garde. However, I usually take pride in keeping my playing simple with solid time for the musicians around me to develop their ideas to the fullest.

It has been a blessing to study with great teachers and performers: Howie Mann (Dorsey Brothers, Mel Torme), Carmine Appice (Vanilla Fudge, Rod Stewart), Ronald Gould (New York City & Joffrey Ballet Orchestras) and Ed Mann & John Bergamo (Frank Zappa).

From 1980-2000, I performed extensively throughout New York City with The Hank Lane Swing/Society Orchestras before my relocation to Stuart FL.

In my 30 years as a public school music educator, I have worked with students on all 3 levels from HS Band Directorship through Middle School to the Elementary Classroom. Teaching enables me to learn something new every day!
