continue specializing in jazz, improvisation, composition, and Brazilian popular music in Brazil, New
York, and Holland. Some of her teachers were: Carlos Lastra, Ricardo Cavalli, Ramiro Flores, Ernesto

In 2020 she released her first album WANDERLUST developing her compositional personality
within jazz and creative music. The album was chosen by the Graffiti Awards for Uruguayan Music
as Best Jazz Album 2021, resulting in Patricia being the first woman to receive the award in this
category.
This first work is inspired by her travels and residences in different cities around the world. An inner
search through melodies, contemporary harmonies, nuances, and creative textures. With strong
communication and group improvisation, each composition represents a new landscape, inviting
us to travel through all the senses.
WANDERLUST received numerous positive reviews from the world press and prominent
musicians, such as the following quote from American saxophonist Greg Osby:
Patricia López has put together a wonderful collection of very personal musical stories with her
new project Wanderlust. Her music reflects a humanistic quality, full of emotion and innocence.
This ambitious recording offers the listener the opportunity to experience the world as they hear it
through their wide range of textures and sounds.
