Born in London,Raised in NY..Intro'd to Violin by John Blake jr,went on to finish a Masters in Jazz Performance.A performer on Voice,Violin,and several other instruments ...most noted for his Jazz scatting and phrasing delivered by his voice...and Bluesy treatments of standard and modern/modal Jazz on a 5 string electric violin.Toured extensively with Sun Ra,Opened for McCoy Tyner,Stanley Clark and others....Has also recorded with many Commercial music notables like Santana,Mary J Blige,Common and others.Served as Music Director for the 1997 Million Woman march Orchestra and was given a Jazz Master award by the jazz organization Tranestop in 2002.An all round performer ...he includes dance and poetry in his Performance.Very influenced by Stuff Smith,John Blake,Noel Pointer,Sun Ra,EWF and others
