About Me

UK jazz guitarist Neil C Young is a gifted guitarist who is establishing his unique talent internationally and is an award nominee both nationally and internationally via Ence Records in the UK and Canadian American Records in the US who put long list nominations for a Grammy award in 2011 (Jazz solo), 2012 (Jazz album) and 2014 (Jazz single).

My Jazz Story

I love jazz because of the freedom it allows to express what we want to. It is both an individual space and a space of community and empathy. I was first exposed to jazz by my good friend Matthew Thompson as a bespectacled 16 year old through with 'Cookin' and 'Walkin' with Miles Davis. My advice to new listeners is to be open to it, allow yourself to experience it rather than it be some sort of weird competition with other types of music.
