About Me
With a distinctively timeless, rich vocal style from simple tenderness to sultry pop, Nazia
Chaudhry (“Naz”) is quickly gaining attention and acclaim as a contemporary jazz recording
artist specializing in The Great American Songbook & Latin jazz traditions. Naz’s lyrical voice,
inspired interpretations, and natural flair for engaging the audience instantly wins hearts
when she hits the stage. While performing at both large concert halls and the most intimate
venues – filled with audiences ranging from every day families to dignitaries – this rising star
became a Sennheiser/Neumann Authorized Partner just before the release of her debut jazz
album, Time After.
Naz toured internationally as a featured jazz soloist with Jubilate, one of South Florida’s highly
acclaimed small vocal groups. While working with Jubilate, Naz also performed in concerts
with 10-time Grammy Award-winning singer Bobby McFerrin, Latin Grammy Award-winning
flautist Nestor Torres, legendary actor/singers Clifton Davis and Harry Belafonte, and
Metropolitan Opera soprano Marvis Martin. Some of her other credits include: The Kennedy
Center, London Symphony Orchestra, Bergonzi String Quartet, New World Symphony, Georgia
Symphony Orchestra Jazz, Rialto Center for the Arts, Woodruff Arts Center, Robert F. Kennedy
Memorial Stadium, and Chesapeake Arts Center.
From classic jazz to adult contemporary music, Naz’s ability to express and elicit emotions
through her singing is as natural as breathing. This versatile crossover stylist, with passionate
vocals and an unforgettably expressive stage presence, is fast becoming an industry “one to
watch.”
