My Jazz Story
I was first exposed to jazz at 18. I was studying classical singing but the jazz department kept calling me!
The first jazz record I bought was Come in Spinner, Vince Jones and Grace Knight.
I met Kurt Elling at Birdland Jazz Club and we had a great chat at the bar.
The best show I ever attended was Esperanza Spalding at Webster Hall. Her bass never missed a beat and her voice was just perfection! And her 11 piece band was hot hot hot!
