My Jazz Story

I love jazz because...the music is so diversified in all aspects. I was first exposed to jazz...at an early age listening to the jukebox in my father's restaurant. I met [musician name]...Howard Rumsey when I was a teenager. We remained friends until he left us in 2015. The best show I ever attended was...Jazz at the Philharmonic, Los Angeles, Ca. The first jazz record I bought was...Harry James, Trumpet Blues, and Woody Herman, Woodchoppers Ball when I was eight years old. My advice to new listeners...Support live jazz and join the jazz music family of devoted followers. Or whatever else you have in mind.

My House Concert Story

I have attended many jazz house concerts in the past. The most recent are the concerts produced by California Jazz Arts, CALJAS. This 501-3c organization is devoted to keeping jazz alive and involvement with student jazz education. The well attended concerts are held in two prominent local jazz musicians homes.
